the Parent's meeting

Last week we gathered twenty parents, who wanted to hear more about our preschool project Kid 's Garden . Since many families came with their children , we also had activities for the children. The results of their work are now set up in the office!

The parents were given a presentation by the board of ProCrescendo's workgroup. They received more detailed information about OPTIMIST pedagogy , it's background and what benefits it brings to the child's lerning process, with specific examples of how this is done in a fun and enjoyable way .

We took up the role of parents in the Kid 's Garden, the importance of each spouse's involvement, cooperation between home and preschool, development discussions, as well as the parent compound. We described how a day at the Kid 's Garden will look like and how the educational work also continues outdoors at park visits.

(Our project leader Lizzie Claesson have a breiving on the project's status while we waited for all the parents to arrive)

Also the staff was raised. The parents were told the teachers we have contact with, and a little about their background. Our view of teachers' training and what we do to have satisfied and committed educators.

Parents had the opportunity to browse through the educational materials we will use at Kid 's Garden .

The parents  could mingle during coffee and talk to ProCrescendo's directors , project managers and volunteers. The parents were asked to fill in missing information on the list we have prepared to get to know , among other things how their needs for child care looks like.

A big thanks to all participants and all those who helped during the event !

(Some kids worked at our activity corner, some were in the kitchen having pastries and the youngest were at the meeting with their parents)
